In July 2018, the ICO published a detailed update of its investigation into the use of data analytics in political campaigns. Accompanying this update was a policy report, titled Democracy Disrupted? Personal information and political influence, where the ICO set out its findings and recommendations arising out of the then 14-month investigation.

Join the UK Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham and UK Deputy Information Commissioner Steve Wood on 25 October for a conversation on the links between data analytics, social media and political campaigning, on the possible risks to our electoral infrastructure and campaign information systems, as well as their insight into how data protection can help protect the transparency and fairness of electoral processes.

Food Reception included.

  • Elizabeth Denham, UK Information Commissioner
  • Steve Wood, UK Deputy Information Commissioner
