Maya Wang

Maya Wang is a senior China researcher for Human Rights Watch. She has written extensively on the persecution of Turkic Muslims in Xinjiang, the use of torture, arbitrary detention, human rights defenders, civil society, the use of artificial intelligence in mass surveillance, disability rights, and women’s rights in China.
