Organised by the Confederation of Data Protection Organisations (CEDPO)
The GDPR addresses controllers and processors to comply with regulatory requirements on the protection of personal data. The DPO’s role is seen as an internal or external resource advising on how to deal with these requirements. The GDPR requirements are a complex system of tasks and obligations where the involvement of DPOs may vary from strategic thinking regarding the business and ethical value and governance of personal data to hands-on tasks such as designing a compliance programme, assessing the compliance of processing activities or dealing with requests from data subjects.
The CEDPO event will provide return on experience on how DPOs have tackled GDPR to challenges in practice so far taking into account the views of the regulators.
